Yields: One 9-inch round cake or 12 cupcakes Prep time: 15-20 minutes Bake time: 30-40 minutes Ingredients: * 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour * 1 ¾ teaspoons baking powder * ½ teaspoon salt * ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened (room temperature) * 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar * 2 large eggs, room temperature * 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract * ½ cup (120ml) milk (whole milk preferred), room temperature Equipment: * 9-inch round cake pan (or a 9x13 inch pan for a sheet cake, or a 12-cup muffin tin for cupcakes) * Parchment paper * Mixing bowls (large and medium) * Electric mixer (stand mixer with paddle attachment or hand mixer) * Whisk * Rubber spatula * Measuring cups and spoons Instructions: * Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
