This concept is inspired by the backrooms. You can noclip inside. But where it really gets most of it from is the theories about the backrooms. When you noclip, you are out of bounds, and in there is stuff that wasn't meant for reality. By taking the elevator (the only way you can go) , you are traveling floors with stuff that isn't cut out for reality. So basically, it's a mix of regretavator and backroom theories.
